Kylie Baker is the founder and Creative Director of Baker Hair. She is highly experienced in her craft, and has been hairdressing since the age of 15.

In Kylie's own words,

"The reason I came to the hairdressing industry was to connect with people on a deep level and to allow them the space to feel nurtured and cared for. What I experienced about being in the industry was that there were not many salons that offered this deep level of care that makes people feel like the only person in the room from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave. 

 

I also wanted to make sure there was an integrity that was kept with the hair and a standard within the salon. I wanted the clients to feel that nothing would be done to their hair to compromise the health or structure of the hair. 

 

I have continued to develop beautiful relationships with the clients that sit in the chair through nurturing and knowledge. 

I want to always continue to grow within the hairdressing industry by keeping up to date with the colouring and styling trends but to also be continually growing with my clients and their needs, whatever that may be.

 

I also believe that what happens to our hair should and can be looked at as a whole. Whatever we are putting into our body is what is going to be reflected by the physical attributes of our body. I have a keen interest in diet and hormone change and how this effects the growth, texture and structure of the hair."
